Bubbly Gaze

Bubbly Gaze is a 500-piece puzzle from Olleo, and the artist is FNY. I’m not normally an underwater puzzle person, but this image just spoke to me. I love everything about it.

This was my first full-size puzzle from Olleo, and I am beyond impressed with the quality. The packaging is great – the pieces come in a drawstring cotton bag and a nice size reference poster is included. The pieces have a smooth matte finish and the printing is clear and crisp.

Beyond all of that, the puzzling experience was amazing. The fit of the pieces was great, even on the border, and I could pick out what piece I needed easily due to the unique shapes of the connectors. I was also able to easily see color variations, even on the darkest and lightest pieces. This is in sharp contrast to a puzzle from a different brand I did earlier the same day where the border took until halfway through to figure out and I struggled with finding the right pieces.

I have several more of this brand on my wishlist and am excited to get more of their puzzles in the future.

    1. I did find it on Puzzledly. Olleo Puzzles is actually a Belgian brand, but the one you are thinking of has a very similar name – Olé Puzzles. I haven’t seen any of those in US retailers, but I would like to try one someday. 😃

      1. One issue with Puzzledly is that they sell out so quickly. You can’t “think” about it, you have to purchase immediately or they are gone. I was trying to buy an EleWhite puzzle today. I was away from computer a few hours, went back… GONE. Sigh. The Universe telling me I didn’t need it. 😉

        1. I agree that is definitely frustrating. I have a bunch of puzzles on my wishlist and most of them are sold out. Sometimes they do restock but you never know whether they will. Sometimes The Puzzle Center will have them but they are more expensive then Puzzledly so I rarely buy from them.

          1. Agree, The Puzzle Center is more expensive. However, they are probably the same price as Puzzledly, but you get a discount for 3 plus, at Puzzedly, while they offer not discounts. Puzzles have gotten really expensive, sometimes it is worth it and sometimes it isn’t. Nice if we find them at a Puzzle Exchange. I found a Birdie puzzle there. Super busy pattern, not one I would have tried, but I LOVED it and now want to do more. You are always hip with the latest brands.

          2. I know, all puzzlers have this problem. Actually, if I stay off social media, I’m happy with what I’ve got. BUT when I see people showing new puzzles, different brands, etc. Then the temptation sets in. So, my plan is to not go on any social media much this month. I like the Casual Puzzler challenge, but it’s winding down, so perfect time to take a break. In fact, I’m going through puzzles today to donate. 🙂
