Puzzle Complaints (Repeat)

Puzzle Complaints is a 500-piece puzzle from Workman Puzzles, and the artist is popular children’s book author Sandra Boynton. I had done this puzzle very close to when I started puzzling in 2021 and decided to redo it to bring in the New Year.

It is such a fun puzzle! I love all the different sayings and the complaining chickens. The text around the border of the puzzle is pretty amusing as well.

Hidden Cows

Hidden Cows is a Sandra Boynton puzzle from Workman Puzzles that was absolutely delightful. It is 1000 pieces.

I had previously done her 500 piece Puzzle Complaints, which I loved. So I was eager to get into this one. It was harder than the other one, but still fun.

I started out differently than normal by turning all the pieces over and pulling out the edge pieces but not sorting the rest of them at all. Then I just picked out the pieces that matched each section I wanted to work on.

About halfway through the puzzle, I sorted the rest of the pieces because I was tired of this method. Once I had finished the more distinct areas, I worked my way through the light green and dark green pieces. Towards the end of that, I had to sort by shape, which is the only way I got through all the white pieces.

Sandra Boynton: Puzzle Complaints

Sandra Boynton’s Puzzle Complaints by Workman Puzzles is the fifth puzzle I have completed. It was by far the easiest as well as the most fun puzzle that I have done. The puzzle is only 500 pieces, and the pieces are quite large, making them very easy to work with.

The design is comprised of chickens who are expressing their various complaints about the puzzle. The text for each area was either a different size, different color, or different font, making it pretty simple to find the pieces for the area I was working on at that time.

I did the chickens last, but even they weren’t really hard. This would be a great puzzle to do with a child. My son thought it was very clever and enjoyed reading the border especially.
