Fall Festival

Fall Festival is a 1000-piece puzzle from Pieces & Peace, and the artist is Abby Jacobs. This is a French brand I tried for the first time earlier this year and loved, so I was happy to be able to get some more from them.

I originally had this on my shelf to do sometime this fall, but then someone else posted it on Instagram and I realized it actually had Halloween elements in it. So I pulled it out to do at the end of October. I finished it Halloween night, which I was happy about.

I love the fall vibes with the colorful trees and cozy market stalls. But my favorite part is the kids in their Halloween costumes all lined up for the costume contest.

Monster Mansion

Monster Mansion is a 500-piece puzzle from Mudpuppy, and the artist is Stephanie Birdsong. This is the same artist that did the Welcome to Spookytown puzzle I did last October. I love her quirky style and her fun take on a Halloween-style house crosssection.

It was fun to do an easy Halloween puzzle after the last two that were both 1000 pieces and on the difficult end of the range. I think this will be my last one for this year.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween is a 1000-piece puzzle from Ravensburger, and the artist is Demelsa Haughton. I find her artwork so charming. I was thinking this was the first puzzle I have done from her, but then I realized my only 2000-piece puzzle Novel Avenue was one of hers.

This puzzle was more challenging than I thought it would be, probably because of how detailed it is. With that said, I love all the fun and spooky details in this image. The pumpkin houses are charming, and I especially love the colors of the sky.

Halloween Crochet

Halloween Crochet is a 1000-piece puzzle from White Mountain, and the artist is Jessica White. This was challenging but fun. It had a lot of the same colors all over the puzzle, but I never got truly stuck.

I have done one other crochet image from Jessica White called Country Life Crochet. It was produced by Cobble Hill, however, and their random shapes combined with the intricacy of the stitches made it a lot harder than this one was. I would consider doing this one again but am not planning on keeping the other one.

Trick or Treat Hotel

Trick or Treat Hotel is a 1000-piece puzzle from Buffalo Games, and the artist is Charles Wysocki. I purchased this several months ago and have been holding onto it for Halloween puzzling. My friend Suzanne was over one night and helped me get it started. She did the border, which she loves doing, and I started on the house.

It took me a few days of puzzling to finish this one, mainly because the colors are so dark and similar to each other. I figured that would happen going into it, though, so I wasn’t upset by it. I really loved putting the house together. The rest was okay, but the house was great.

Happy Halloween!!

Welcome to Spooky Town

Welcome to Spooky Town is a 500-piece puzzle from Mudpuppy, and the artist is Stephanie Birdsong. I picked it up because it was such a fun Halloween image, and it did end up being a lot of fun to put together.

I have always liked Halloween, even though I don’t really decorate for it. I always enjoyed taking my son trick or treating, and I also enjoyed the times I got to hand out candy. Now that my son is grown, he really enjoys handing out candy to trick or treaters as well. The last couple of years, he has done that at his dad’s house because they get a lot of kids in that area.

Hitting the Road

Hitting the Road is a 1000-piece puzzle from Cobble Hill, and the artist is Mary Lake-Thompson. This was my first puzzle from the Cobble Hill brand. I love the subject matter as it is a combination of a collage with images of campers and other vehicles. It is a fun design with a lot of interesting elements.

Their puzzles are random cut, but it is not as hard as the previous random cut puzzle I did from Goodway Puzzles. None of these pieces were tiny or super weird in shape, so it made for a good puzzling experience. I will definitely be doing this brand again!

When I was finished, I asked Michael what his favorite scene was. He said Into the Woods because of the bear and the fox. My favorite is either Fall Fun or Holidays.
